It was their most successful single from their debut album, reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, earning them their first No. 1 single. The song was later sampled by Bow Wow for his single "You Can Get It All", which was produced by Jermaine Dupri, who also appeared in the music video for "Baby-Baby-Baby".

Background and composition[]

"Baby-Baby-Baby" was written and produced by Babyface, L.A. Reid and Daryl Simmons. It's a pop and R&B ballad that features vocals by T-Boz and Chilli and is the trio's first single that doesn't feature a rap from Left Eye.

Music video[]

The music video for "Baby-Baby-Baby" depicts TLC as college students attending Bowie State University, where they all have a slumber party with their roommates. The music video features a cameo appearance by Jermaine Dupri.
